Introduction

A collaboration with self-organized groups in Utrecht working on Gift Economies

May13 we began compiling an archive of stories from self-organized groups in Utrecht that are working with alternative economic systems, such as gift economies and models of free distribution. This lead into the production of a Digital Story Space.

Story Space on Gift Economies focus on gift economies and free distribution.
The project takes shape of a program of collaborative workshops, discussions, distribution of the free newspaper Gratis, a gleaning tour where we collect, cook and distribute free food.

The project is structured in 4 parts:

Digital Story Space - a collaborative discussion forum.

Video interviews - interviews we have made with people engaged in gift economies.

Gratis - The Free Paper - contains extracts from the 'Story Space'. Distributed 6 June.

Gleaning Tour and Food Evening - event at CASCO 6 June.
